Going to states! I can't believe it! that was my goal for this season and I reached it!!! I was the second leg in our 4X8 and I got a 2 second PB! Our first leg started off with in the pack, but then the last 400 she pulled away, I kept us in first and then from there we pulled away from the others even more. I'm not quite sure if they will put the other girl in instead of me at states because they want to win and she's faster. I'm just very excited that I was able to be apart of a team that officially made it to states. I was really nervous before the race, but my coach calmed me down. My first 400 may have been a PB too. Now my next big goal for school running is to go to nations for XC which our team is very excited to try to reach!
PS- I got my t-shirt :) the most important thing.

So hot! We had to stay on the back straight away of the track because it was in the shade. Tomorrow I'll be running in the 4X800 at state qualifiers. There is a girl who is supposed to be running instead of me, but she is already running a 4X400 so they put me in. The girl who was supposed to run and the other three people in the relay got the #2 US time for the 4X800 at the meet we went to on Tuesday, so there is plenty of pressure for me to run well because I'm quite a bit slower than the others, but I'm the fastest person they can get in at this point from our team. It's going to be really hot so I'll have to stay hydrated.

PB woohoo! Fast Time/Twilight relays. This meet was fun, even though only certain people got to go, but it was still fun. :) I was the first leg for my 4X800 team and we weren't supposed to be in the seeded heat, but then we ended up being in it. We all still ran really well, and we all got PBs so that means we get t-shirts from our coaches closet which is full of clothes yay! (because that's always what matters most)

Had to do lots of shake outs and warm ups because my race was one of the last races, and it was raining and really cold all day

Woohoo we are our sections 4X800 champs! I was supposed to run the 1500, but my coach really wanted us to do well in the 4X800 so he pulled me from that so that I would run well. I was our first leg and we were seeded first so there was some pressure there, but we all did really well. Next race is Tuesday where I'm running 4X800 again so I'm excited for that. I got the exact same time for this race as I did for my last 800 too which is kind if funny, even to the millisecond.

If I thought yesterday was hot, I was so wrong, and the humidity didn't help at all either. We only had to do two 300 builds because it was too hot.

I finally broke 30 again!!!! And by a lot more than I would have expected. Last time I broke was in winter and I got 2:29, so I'm super excited about my time especially since this was my first race after being out for two weeks.
