Fartlek with Megan, Lisa, Ashley, Elina and Caroline. Did sessions of 45, 30, 60, 20, 45, and 30 seconds with varied rest in between. We were going pretty hard. Legs felt good

Went out for half an hour before realizing I forgot to fill my tires before I went out. Had to ride back to school to fill them up. Tire pressure was at 30 lol. that would explain why my tires were making squeaky noises.

On a better note, some super exciting orienteering news: I'm taking a geospatial mapping class and today's lesson was using a map and compass. I mentioned to my professor that I orienteer because it seemed appropriate. She got very excited and introduced me to another professor who is working with some students on making an o-map on campus. I noticed some posts with orienteering flag markers on a trail the other day. They were both very excited and interested in getting help from me with mapping and setting the course (even though their project is very basic right now). They even mentioned that they've gotten a lot of support for what they're working on and that if Elina and I want to make an orienteering team/club on campus, we'd probably get a lot of support, funding and interested students!!! They said they'd contact me within the next week so we can help them with their project and so they can ask us all about orienteering and use our skills. Best part of my whole day! This is why it's important to talk to your professors :)

Long run day. Leg felt okay at first but the longer I ran the worse it got. Had to cut my run short :/ kinda bummed, I thought it wouldn't hurt today. Taking yesterday off definitely helped. Gotta visit with the trainer tomorrow

Lower leg started hurting yesterday during my run, didn't think much of it, just thought it was tight or something. Took an ice bath after hoping it would go away; unfortunately that didn't work as well as I had hoped. Feels like I should have a bruise on my leg or something. Bothered me all day walking around so I skipped the workout.

Hiked some high peaks today with my roommate and a friend from xc. Made it to Big Slide and had to do three other summits to get there (1st Brother, 2nd Brother and 3rd Brother). Conditions were cold, rainy and windy and the top was pretty miserable. The view of the clouds was great because were were inside them the whole time!

Sunday hike with my friend India! We left campus at 6, drove 2 hours to the parking for Giant Mountain, hiked up that, then randomly decided to hit Rocky Peak Ridge. We were super happy about getting two high peaks in one day instead of one. So worth it; views were amazing! I believe I got the climb and distance correct
