Road Running race 37:44 [5] 10.0 km (3:46 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel 1120

I saw on Glenn's AP log that he was going to win the GH turkey trot, so I decided to go down there and give him a run for his money. I felt surprisingly good considering I'm not doing much running these days. I ended up ahead of Glenn, but not by much. I was sure he was going to catch me on the final hill. I think I was 7th overall. Nice morning for a race in GH.

Biking (MTB) 2:30:00 [3] ** 15.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Helped sweep the bike portion of the Fall BEAST. It was an ultimate phantastic day with great views of the mountain and some fresh snow up top. It was nice to get out by myself and enjoy the solitude of the forest. I haven't had that chance in a while. It's nice and calming.

WIOL #2 @ Seward Park: I had a pretty good run today. I had errors on #8 and on #5, but overall had a better run than last week. Big turnout today with several new people. Very nice weather too.

Road Running 31:25 [3] 4.5 mi (6:59 / mi)

Parked at John Wayne golf course and ran into work. Took the trail in along the slough.

Road Running 37:54 [3] 4.0 mi (9:29 / mi)

Run back to my car via the pipeline trail. Killer climbs, but it's good for me. Chilly out tonight.

Biking (commue, road) 1:40:00 [3] 23.0 mi (4:21 / mi)
shoes: Jake The Snake

Ride into work from magnolia. Had a good tailwind at times, but also a big headwind at times. My pack weighed a ton and my back was killing me. Lot's of leaves on the trail. Reminds me of cyclocross on the Burke Gilman.

Road Running 38:00 [3] 5.5 mi (6:55 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel 1120

Run from Pasco to Richland and back. River was smooth as glass and the geese were honking overhead.

Biking (commute, road) 1:05:00 [3] 12.0 mi (5:25 / mi)
shoes: Jake The Snake

Ride into work. A commute that Roger is missing out on the great NW weather. Raining sideways with a headwind most of the way. My new Stella light works awesome. I can finally see all the rain-drops.

Wednesday Nov 5, 2008 #

Road Running 14:39 [3] 2.0 mi (7:19 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel 1120

Easy run from home up the hill and back. First mile uphill was 7:58 and coming back was 6:41. I hate the dark.

Road Running 1:28:45 [3] 13.0 mi (6:50 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel 1120

Long run at Stottlemyer with Murph. It was a little sloppy, but it was a nice run and no rain.

Orienteering race 39:29 [4] 4.0 km (9:52 / km)

WIOL #1 Lincoln Park: I'm glad I'm not the only one who had trouble today. I actually had a decent run except for #4 where I went into the forest a little early. My big error was on #9 and it looked like most people had problems with it. I think I recovered pretty well and finished the course pretty strong. My fitness level is still very bad because of my killer commute I can only run on the weekends. It was fun to get out and race again and I can see I have some work to do to get back up near the top.
