Orienteering race 20:49 [4] 3.1 km (6:43 / km)

Ultimate Short-O at N. Seatac: Had a pretty clean run today, but slow due to being out of shape. I lost about 40 sec. on control 13, other than that a pretty good run. I think Eric was about 1min ahead of me despite his injury.

Biking (MTB) 2:00:00 [4]

Rode Tiger today. Started on the single-track and then rode out to Pu-Pu point and back on the fire-road. Was pretty sore after, but happy to get back on the trails.

Ultimate Frisbee 1:30:00 [4]

Played three games tonight. The wind was pretty bad especially during the third game, but we escaped the rain. Felt good to play after a couple of weeks of being too busy to get out there.

Road Running intervals (Track) 30:00 [4] 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Easy 1mi warmup before ultimate.

After ultimate I did some more easy running on the track and then I did one set: 600(tempo)x200(easy)x200(finish kick). Finished up with more easy running and a couple 100 striders. I did not have my watch on me today, but I'm sure the times weren't pretty. Suprisingly, I felt pretty good today, but really wish I can get back in the groove.

I think I'm going to start taking an 1hr lunch Mon. & Wed. so I can run on my class days. I've never been a big fan of the 4am workouts. For some reason I like my body to be awake before I push it.

And one final note, they finally posted the duathalon results from a couple weekends ago: http://www.3rrr.org/ Looks like I got whipped by a bunch of old farts. As Skilz put it, "At your age it gets harder and harder to get beat by older folks."

Road Running 33:03 [3] 4.7 mi (7:02 / mi)

Easy run to Golden Gardens and up the hill. Felt really tired today after my race yesterday, so I tried to hold back and do a recovery run.

Note

Rage in The Sage Duathalon 1:15:40 Course was a 2.5mi run followed by a 10mi MTB followed by a 2.5mi run mostly on gravel/sand roads around a vinyard. Felt pretty bad on the final run, but I wasn't expecting a whole lot after not training for about two weeks and not being on my bike for who knows how long? I went out pretty easy on the first run and tried not to blow up early in the bike and overall I was pretty pleased with my pace. My transitions were bad, but I don't ever practice them. Was a good race, but would have liked more technical/hilly MTB. The State Patrol trails in Kenniwick would be perfect for this event.

Road Running race 15:22 [5] 2.5 mi (6:09 / mi)

First Run of Duathalon

Biking race (MTB) 43:26 [5] 10.0 mi (4:21 / mi)

MTB portion of Duathalon.

Road Running race 16:52 [5] 2.5 mi (6:45 / mi)

Final run of the Duathalon. First 0.5mi or so was really slow with some slight leg cramps. Then I got back in the groove.

Ultimate Frisbee 45:00 [3]

Missed the first game and a half today due to late arrival, but once I arrived I propelled my team to victory in the final to games (no I'm not taking full credit).

Road Running 54:38 [4] 8.0 mi (6:50 / mi)

Moderate run over to Discovery and along my "secret trail" loop. Felt great today, but I really need to get more running in. I'm in a class right now on Mon and Wed after work, so it's going to be hard to get the training in those days.
