Wansfell race

Started gently, slowly making my way up the hill, passing a couple of fast starters. Reached the top in 11th, and the faffy decent began, should practice more as I always lose several places on the steep descents. Arrived at the gate/ wall just behind a madman who jumped straight off the 2meter ledge onto the road. Almost got overtaken by a child in the final 100m but I held him off.

Aac Kirkstone Handicap

Very disappointed when I arrived in the carpark to see it totally empty. Fortunately a couple of minutes later 4 runners arrived, letting me know everyone else was already at the start line as the session was to be a handicap race up the Struggle! Great!

Went well apart from a 3 min stitch on the flat/ downhill bit.
