Running (Harriers) 20:00 [3] 3.4 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: New Balance Minimus

Went to a slight incline on the road, had planned to do 6 long and 6 short. Had to stop after 5 long because I had a lot of pain in my quads, most probably due to a 30km bike ride that day, so might leave the riding out in the future if I've got a hard session planned.

Orienteering race (JK relay Hambleden) 29:47 [3] 4.5 km (6:37 / km)
shoes: X-talon 212

Was feeling confident so went out fast, first 2 controls were good but made a massive mistake on no.3. Next 4 controls were really fast and then made another massive mistake on no.8. The rest were fast again. Annoyed because I was just aiming for a good run and without the 2 mistakes it was a really good run

Was dreading this race but tried by best, First 4 controls were really good and probably a bit too fast, then made a big mistake on 5, ended up following steve and jake for about 5 controls but then when I got into the green area I just couldn't navigate well and lost them. The rest of the course was slow and had lots of mistakes mainly due to tiredness. Need to get better at running over 10k

First 10 controls felt really fast and smooth, was with a guy who was pretty fast but I kept catching him at the controls because he couldn't find them. Then I lost him as the controls got closer together and my navigation got worse so I should have slowed down my running and read the map more. Still really happy with my time.

Felt I flowed really well through the controls, Went really fast for first few controls, Slowed towards the end purely due to not being able to keep the pace, Hesitated on a couple of controls when I got to the rough location so should have checked descriptions more. But really happy with 16th place
