Maze-O! Walked, hamstring loosened up on the walk to the event but then tightened back up to the same tightness after I was done.

Lamb! Time/distance from Garmin. Yay orienteering! Was a fun event, well-run. Was a bit overwhelmed by all the special rules (split controls, box, corridor, skip, trail-o control), but figured it out. (Stopped and re-read the rules to verify I wasn't doing an illegal skip.) No disastrous errors, but I'm sure when I look at my GPS track I'll be able to find some between 30s and 2 min. Annnnnd successfully removed 2 chollas from my leg with rocks in under 10s each!

Health stuff: Goal for the weekend was to be minimally stupid with training volume (although even the Lamb was a stretch given my recent training volume of almost-0), so I didn't let myself get suckered into running more than the Lamb out of the 5 events. (Also walked the trail-o and walked/scrambled a bit of the maze-o). As predicted, I had only very minor leg grumpiness, with my hamstrings tightening up about halfway through the course. Were worse afterwards and also the next day (difficult to walk pain-free, even after walking around for awhile), but the kind of pain/tightness you can tell will go away in a few days, knock on wood. Also did left plantar fasciitis tape (hasn't bothered me in over a month), and right sesamoid pad (had been wondering if running was having subtle effects, although the main thing that irritates it is using my right inside edge while skating--more medial than I usually use running). Both feet felt fine, possibly due to the soft sandy surface of most of the course.
