Walking 2:00:00 [1]

Walking round South Queensferry, finding control sites for ScotJOS Last Supper night event. Just using OpenOrienteeringMap, which doesn't show all the paths! However, a real map has been produced for an ESOC event in February - should be very good, a confusion of paths.

Cycling 1:02:10 [3] 21.15 km (2:56 / km) +27m 2:55 / km

Cycled eastwards, cut short by a puncture at Longniddry! Thought I had a spare tube but it didn't inflate, so perhaps I didn't repair it previously. Saved by a kind wife who drove out to pick me up...
Lost about 7km from time & distance - stopped the watch at some road repairs and didn't restart for a while.

SOL 7 at Inshriach. Found this one hard work from the start, difficult through the heather on the 1st leg and did not stay in touch with the map. I had put on a thermal in case it rained, but sweat was running and so I could hardly see the map through steamed up glasses.
Moving very slowly throughout though found the controls ok after the 1st couple. Took splits at the controls, though there were a couple of 1km+ legs putting in extra points. Went through the renowned Inshriach chequer board but was it worth slogging over the marshes twice to get there?
