Orienteering race (QBIII day 1) 26:49 [5] *** 4.2 km (6:23 / km) +90m 5:46 / km
ahr:166 max:176 shoes: New Balance MT411GB

Day 1
not a bad run
almost ran the wrong way up the track after 13, took it a little easy from there (started being more careful)
found it a little difficult to adjust to the scale of the map, or the altitude, or the drive up ? or .. something wasn't 100% right

running race (Nosh footrace) 1:29:33 [5] 15.25 km (5:52 / km) +305m 5:20 / km
ahr:167 max:176 shoes: Asics Gel - Trabuco 13

my aim was to beat 90 mins - never ran this before, not sure what to expect.

went out a little too hard at the begining, but felt ok at the same time so I didn't think it was a bad idea, the bad idea was going for the 70km cycle the day before :)

slowed down from 8-12 km as I started to feel a bit tired. took it easy on a couple of hills.
was getting sore (bruised?) soles of feet in the last 3 km and found that a huge struggle, tried to keep pushing it as hard as i could to beat the 90 min, but kept getting overtaken in the last ~4 kms

did find a bit of speed on the down hill runs though, the uphills were a much different story!

originally planned to jog back, but it took way too much out of me, so got a lift back to the start.

I now have a time to beat for next year :)
