Orienteering race (SL3) 2:34:49 [5] ***** 13.62 km (11:22 / km) +281m 10:18 / km
ahr:155 max:178 shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 340

M21A 10.4km (350m climb) 4 loops
14 entries, 10 starters, 8 finishers (4 people were scared and pulled out - or perhaps smart and pulled out)

first loop started well .. lots of people running nearby, some pleasant comversations. then lost concerntation and wasn't sure where i was, tried a few "am i here" options but knew I had no idea, went to relocate to the North where a track should be about 100-200m, when I didn't see the track realised where i was (about 300-400m from it) saw Brooner doing a similar relocation jog on the track :)

rest of loop 1 was ok i think..

loop 2 felt slow (thick bush? climb?) and painful .. hit head on a branch .. that was painful too.

loop 3 felt pretty good and I really enjoyed it (this was probably the shortest loop too - looked and definitely felt like it)

loop 4 I felt exhausted and struggled, found it hard to even navigate at walking speed, tripped, stumbled many times.

didn't have much left at the end .. forgot (to exhausted) to pick up maps 1-3 .. will have to look at maps or routegadget to see how many minor errors I had, just the one big one.

Orienteering race (Metro 2) 27:13 [3] 4.8 km (5:40 / km) +65m 5:19 / km
ahr:170 max:178 shoes: New Balance

felt very slow, even after about 100 m ... felt like I was running up hill (which I was) .. but it felt much worse than I wanted it to :)

was pretty happy with the navigation, would probably need some splits to see where I lost time, I assume it would be the longer legs where my running speed lets me down.

I did overrun the last control as it was hiding behind the tree ... losing .. 5-10 seconds ...
