Distance is a guess, gps started after 2 controls.
managed to get a run with Mess Engineer and a friend of his, we were all carrying injuries, so my plan was not to go too hard (physio said to go about 60-70% .. 80% next week, 100% after that) so was hoping I would get held back a little, we went at a comfortable speed, except hills, where i struggled to keep up with them!

leg was ok 95% of the time, it have me a little trouble between 4hrs and 4.5 hrs but was ok after that,



only nav error was 82 - following an unmarked track

Happy with amount done and the fact that I didn't do too much. 4th in mixed and 23rd overall of 150 teams

looked for a rather flat route (did the best i could), getting all controls. physio said to take it easy on hills ..
leg felt ok ..
taking the day off for ultimate though

I felt a little unbalanced but no pain or discomfort

saw physio .. had iced it but it was still tender..
was told I could try a light jog on the weekend, but not the 17k trail run i had planned :(

plan is to see him on Wednesday and try the summer series

run mac uni gym -> sports fields -> busaco rd trail -> LCNP trails -> back via terry's creek -> epping boys -> mac uni gym

drink stops at start,1km,1.5km then 8.5km ..
walked from 8-8.5km .. it was too hot !

Orienteering race (Sydney Summer Series 19 ) 1:19:45 [3] 8.5 km (9:23 / km)

slow, but not as slow as many others..



a few errors:
-had trouble getting from start to first control ..14 ..
-took the wrong track fork from 17 to 6, but was considering gettin 2 first ajnyway, so it just made up my route choice mind for me ...
-25 to 22 was slow, found the indistinct track, but still too slow
-16-19 very very slow, should have avoided the darker green 9:98
-couldn't find 29 on first few passes, I was expecting someing more obvious

should have gone 16-1-22-14 then from 25 to 19, I think it would have saved 5-10 mins ...

spent about 60-90 seconds helping Lachlan ...
it started to rain and our maps didn't like it :)

Orienteering race (Sydney Summer Series 18 ) 1:06:06 [3] 9.1 km (7:16 / km)



plan was to do the high middle controls, top of map then back around the coast, should have left 18 for the trip back as it isn't far off the 17-12 route.

struggles with humidity and felt slow ..

ran past 22 for the loss of 90 seconds ...

plenty of room for improvement.
