Running 1:28:58 15.79 km (5:38 / km) +45m 5:33 / km
ahr:144 max:159 shoes: Reebok Realflex

Long run down to Treptow at a deliberately slower pace than I've been doing. Bit difficult to run that slowly to start, but once I found a quick, short rhythm it was ok, and I was glad of it by the half-way point. Felt the calves all the way, but none of the knotty, cramping tightness that's caused me trouble, so the stride adjustment is doing its thing.

Intervals in the park, basically fartleking with recoveries based on breathing rather than time or distance. Kept up the cadence with a shorter stride, have some burn in both calves, but still no cramping, so the shorter stride may have had a lot to do with solving that.

Running 29:54 [2] 5.88 km (5:05 / km) +44m 4:54 / km
shoes: Vivobarefoot Evo

First run after limping around the cross-country last week; felt great and the new shoes were good. Both calves definitely felt the work-out in zero-drop flats, but it's more of a stretch, not the cramping I've been getting.

Used a metronome to keep my cadence up at 170 (or more on the hills or when picking up the pace); form felt good and it was great to feel the ground more.
