Road running 41:23 [3] 4.4 mi (9:24 / mi)
shoes: Adrenaline 16

End-to-end around the pond.

Note

Went out last night to look at the Perseids. It was a clear night, and it's plenty dark around here. Perseus was nearly at the zenith overhead. We had a view out the front of a good chunk of sky, could have been the whole sky if we went out on the lake, but it wasn't necessary. There were lots of meteors. At least one a minute, sometimes clusters of 3 or so.

Tomorrow we drive back to Maryland.

Thursday Aug 11, 2016 #

Road running 47:51 [3] 5.0 mi (9:34 / mi)

Around the pond and over the peak (up via Joe Russell Place and down the dam trail).

Wednesday Aug 10, 2016 #

Road running 44:05 [3] 4.4 mi (10:01 / mi)
shoes: Adrenaline 16

End-to-end around the pond.

Tuesday Aug 9, 2016 #

Hiking 7:00:00 [3] 9.6 mi (43:45 / mi)
shoes: Roclite 280-2015

Baldface Circle Trail with party of 10 (Rob, Veronica, Katy, Coral, Tom, Florence, Addie, Mei-An, Amanda, Sam). Up over the steep ledges to the South Peak, traverse to the North Peak, descending via the Bicknell Ridge and the Eagle Cascade cutoff. An outstanding day -- among the clearest I've seen. A great view of Mt. Washington from the SE, straight up Tuckerman. The full Carter-Moriah ridge. The Royces (East and West). Kezar Lake from end to end.

Monday Aug 8, 2016 #

Road running 51:40 [3] 5.5 mi (9:24 / mi)
shoes: Adrenaline 16

VO2 Hills. 4xuphill for 3:20 or so, then jog back down. Hill was steep for the first half then steeper for the second. These things feel pretty good.

Sunday Aug 7, 2016 #

Road running 38:00 [3] 4.4 mi (8:38 / mi)
shoes: Adrenaline 16

End-to-end around the pond. Calm and sunny this morning, but wind and clouds are building.

Hiking 30:00 [3] 1.0 mi (30:00 / mi)
shoes: Roclite 280-2015

Then a quick trip up Woodman's Peak with Mary. Canoed across the lake to the town beach, hauled out the canoe, then up the hill through all 3 viewpoints and down.
