Road running 46:00 [3] 5.2 mi (8:51 / mi)
shoes: Adrenaline 2

GSFC perimeter road. A beautiful day, full sun and clear blue sky, about 50F at noon, and it was great to be running with no goal in mind. My goals for the fall racing season have been met -- 2mi, 5k, 8k, 10k, with 2 first place and 2 second place in age-group running. I think the next month or so will be for fun only.

Orienteering 1:15:00 [3] 6.5 km (11:32 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon

Informal event at Riverbend Park. We hatched this plan after the Bethesda 10K on Thursday. The idea was to have a training event somewhere we haven't all been to a bunch of times recently. Greg did the hard work of course design and map production. Dave, Greg, and I set out the markers and met back at the start. Self-timed and self-monitored.

The old map has held up pretty well, as long as you know what to expect. There are a lot of new trails (there were already new trails when we used the map 6 years ago) and some new houses. I didn't pay much attention to vegetation. Time is a total guess. I didn't have a watch.
