shoes: Adrenaline 18

Midday, with temperature in the low 40s. I was going to run 5 miles, but after getting over the initial chill, I felt so good I ran the Forest Glen loop for 7.2.

This route has plenty of stuff to look at. It crosses the Beltway twice, over then under, and in between passes through the National Seminary, with its collection of architectural oddities, including the chalet, the pagoda, the Greek temple, the windmill, and the Mexican-style row houses I've heard referred to as the "Taco Bells." These are now under renovation, and their facades have been removed so they're unrecognizable.

Other architectural marvels en route include the Forest Glen Castle, the old stone church, and the Mormon Temple. It's also being renovated, and there are stacked rings of scaffolding around the towers, making them look like a 1950s ray gun blaster.
