Spittal of Glenshee. Corbett + Munro.

Had the potential to be type II fun, but actually thoroughly enjoyable. Pretty quiet up to the Corbett. Wind really picked up on the top but thankfully I had planned to have the wind on my back whilst up on the ridge. Into cloud/fog above c600m and vis down to about 40m which made it pretty hard to navigate, even more so with tinted goggles. A really good crust today, pretty frozen and not too deep / drifted.

Finally thought I'd found a slope to properly test the crampons on the last climb, but the main use seemed to be putting a darn hole in my trousers. About turn at 975m and a short section in heading south and windchill before slogging down't valley. found a spare walking pole on the A93 - winner.

Saw an old couple near the start, but otherwise had the hill to myself :-).

R Achilles was quite sore to begin with, I thought I had the boots too tight but on reflection I think achilles was just hurting. no problems from the knee.
