on the Appalachian trail in the Berkshires with Boris and Kat. Distance and time and climb are approximate. The trail was pretty crappy, filled with rocks and roots and muddy from the rain. It was a good, hard run for me, though the speed was slow because of the footing.

usual bridge to Godstow and back by myself. I did beat my last time by 3 seconds so that is progress towards 30:30. And it felt a lot easier today than last time, perhaps because I ran later in the morning. I've pulled three minutes off my time for this run since I arrived at Oxford in early June.

Intervals with Nate on path along river around first field with Nate. I ran each interval a little more evenly than last time but my pacing was still too fast for the first intervals. Overall I was a faster than last time. A good workout.

Path intervals, not quite terrain but definitely not track either. Along river around first cow field.

Nate was supposed to go with me but quit since his knee was hurting. I was not very motivated to run by myself and only managed to run 4 intervals before my legs were really giving up. My pacing was very bad. I ran each interval far too fast in the beginning and then slowed way down. I only managed to keep my interval time constant by running each successive one more evenly.

Usual bridge to Godstow and back. At least I'm back to improving my time. I did manage to almost equal my best time on this run and it was easier. I even enjoyed the first half of the run, it was pretty running along the thames and past lots of horses.
