Running 46:29 [3] 5.0 mi (9:18 / mi) +200m 8:16 / mi
shoes: blue Mizuno WN 2

El Corte de Madera with Russell and Alex. Ran the first about 9 minutes with Russell way too fast, then slowed way down. I don't understand running since I beat my PR by over two minutes for this run but paced myself poorly and my legs felt dead from soccer yesterday. Running makes no sense.

Orienteering race 35:55 [4] **** 2.33 km (15:25 / km) +135m 11:57 / km
12c

Sprint at Joaquin Miller. It was a great course, very technical and entirely in woods. Unfortunately I messed several controls up for many minutes of mistakes in total. I kept overrunning controls and running too fast for me to navigate. A disappointing result but a great area to run in.

Orienteering race 55:11 [3] *** 3.9 km (14:09 / km) +330m 9:57 / km
10c

Green at Joaquin Miller. Still fun terrain, not quite as technical with as small features as the sprint. I again ran too fast at times, losing myself. Also had trouble focusing and retaining contact with the map the whole time.

Orienteering race 25:45 [4] *** 2.35 km (10:57 / km) +75m 9:27 / km
12c shoes: blue Mizuno WN 2

sprint at Golden Gate Park. I had a disappointing race, many small mistakes. It was the weird style of orienteering in a city park where you have to be careful because they are so many uncrossable barriers, roads, fences, green, that you really can't run straight. Actual course distance estimated at 3.1 km.
