Orienteering race 1:54:16 [3] *** 6.4 km (17:51 / km) +293m 14:32 / km

Long course at Bon Tempe. It was cold and rainy which is my least favorite kind of weather. I only wore my o'suit so my hands froze. I was actually having a decent race but then I got too cold so I just couldn't move quickly or concentrate on orienteering. I kept dropping the compass and had to develop a strange procedure to work the manual punch. I was happy with my result considering.

Nevertheless it was a fun meet on good terrain. The course setting did a good job making up for the map's inacuracies.

Next time I'm wearing gloves.

3x1260 (5:25, 5:32, 5:45)
1x840 cool-down (4:24)

clearly slower than my old interval pace. I set out to do 4 1260's but after getting so much slower on the first three and not feeling very good, I decided there wasn't much point in doing the fourth.

foothills alone. I felt decent but I was over a minute slower than the last time I ran this loop several weeks ago.

alone at Wunderlich. I felt better and had a faster time than wednesday. It's possible that I just saved more for the downhills though.

Running at Baylands with Chad. I'm out of shape now. It was mostly my legs that were limiting me, not my cardiovascular.
