Totally exhausted today. I had to walk up all the hills and don't exactly know why I continue to be so tired. I didn't even run hard last night. Anyway, I made three parallel errors that I shouldn't have made...

My first night O in many many years and with the help of the headlamp I recieved for my birthday I did really well. Still, fell on my face a couple times though... Made it to 25 of the 30 controls, score O format.

Felt really tired these past two days so decided to take it easy and rest up for more Orineteering races this weekend. A Night O on Saturday and a regular O meet Sunday!

Update: After reading the thread on the US Team Trials I'm adding yet another goal/tactic/strategy to my training: Aggresiveness in my Orienteering racing speed, hopefully without making too many big mistakes and very few small ones...

BTW the other is a new training category: "Running in Terrain" that I have yet to add.

Note

Had an amazing weekend of Orienteering, even though I was slow, then slower, then still slow. The weather was perfect, sunny, warm with not a cloud in the sky.

In contrast, when I drove home from Denver I was driving through a blizzard with whiteout conditions, several inches of slush on the roads and up to 8 inches of snow on the ground down to an elevation of about 7000 feet. Snow in May!!!? I love it...
