Orienteering 2:48:03 [3] 8.0 km (21:00 / km)
shoes: inov8 Bare-Grip 200

I went into this hoping to redeem my run on the middle event. That disappeared after I found myself near my #4 control while I was still searching for #2. I also botched #3. I will have to look at RG but I think I left #2 two times in the complete opposite direction.
There were some high points as I began to just focus on my navigation after that as did a really long leg without loosing map contact.
Coming up on the go control confused me for a few seconds. I was not expecting to see all the finish area so close. In front of everyone cheering (not at me) I stopped dead and looked around - confused by the finish - looked at my map - and confirmed that the control should be behind that clump of trees - ok and a 9 second walk to finish :)

Note

Added Route Gadget for Middle event - watch me run right over control 8 twice before looping back and getting it the third time.. what in the world?!

Orienteering 1:07:16 [3] 6.0 km (11:13 / km)
shoes: inov8 Bare-Grip 200

M50 Green-X
some really good legs and a few horrible legs... like #7-8 which was so short the two control circles were clipped as the overlapped - but it took me nearly 14 minutes to get it :(
Patty had an interesting story on her course. Twice she came across a map in the woods that said "You are Here" How great is that? I could have used that a few times today.
Looking for a better outcome tomorrow.
