disappointingly sloppy.
made a 1 min route choice mistake right out of the gate by not seeing a more direct trail.
missed leaving the road at the low point going to #4 and lost 2 min.
bad choice on #5 to take the left route and not go back to the trail on the right... 1 min
Followed erik into green hatch going to #6 and lost 1 to 2 min.
Thought I chose correct on #12 as the left route was very nice open woods but I didn't connect all the dots on the right to see the trail network and lost 1 min here.
15 was the big one... 3 to 4 minutes by turning the wrong way on a trail (plus mega elevation loss)
So that's 8 to 10 minutes by not focusing enough.

THE GOOD NEWS, my left leg didn't give me any problems. So, I want to start exercising again and get back / build stamina.

French Creek green course.

Fairly happy with result and my leg was noticeable but not overly sore. Messed up two places. Spent over 3 minutes on control #5 which should have been less than one minute. I was fixated on a large rootstock SW of the control. #8 I misread as a 6 while I was crossing the field (smudged in dark green part of map) so when I got to the control and is was not #42 I headed south. After a brief scan, I rechecked the map and noticed the next control was #9 so I couldn't be looking for #6... grrr.
Overall, a fast course with lots of brute running to cover distance.
Highlight for me was #10 where I took the direct route through the woods and came right up to the control.
