Did the Red course to help get ready for the Billygoat. Little did I know at the start that I would turn this into a Blue course.

10.9km on a 5.7km Red 191%
Figured I added 3.5km to the course and did a 9.2km course today.

My route to 3 took me high to the main trail where I saw a charcoal terrace control near the trail. I saw that #4 was such a control and headed to 3 keeping track of my route so I could shoot right back up... which I did. Then had a good run from 5 through 14. On my way to 15 I can to a trail intersection near 4 and realized the control I punched was on the wrong side of this trail. I went over to it and saw the number was not correct. Then I found the correct #4 - debated for 15 seconds and decided I was not throwing this away, I would finish.
I punched 4 and proceeded back through the controls 5 - 14 as before. 19 was at the top of the hill and when I reached it, I came to my second large obstacle. there was no more room on my stick :(
I finished the last 3 controls pressing the lap button on my watch and holding my stick in the control of extra long times.
This was week two of a head cold and I'm blaming it on the cold medicine I took.

Note

didnt really feel like swimming as the cold is still with me but the Y made the decision easy - they were closed.

Green course.
I was planning on doing the Red/Blue to prep for the Billygoat but I got hit with a major cold, completely congested and allover achy... sop I backed down. Patty couldn't believe I even wanted to go.
My head felt the clearest while I was on the course (clear but not highly efficient) I made several route choices to avoid climb as I could feel my body was sluggish.
Also made 3 medium mistakes
#4 missed to the right and then went high,
#10 ran right past the knoll with the control. I could swear there are more knolls out there than on the map.
#14 should have used the compass more. Went for the reentrant across the valley and missed the correct one, heading further up to the next.
Overall happy with the time considering my cold.
And, yes - a fun finish. Just had to make sure my feet were getting out in front of me quick enough.
