Orienteering 1:10:22 [3] 6.86 km (10:15 / km)

Green X
5 minutes to number 1.
This is a reminder of why I don't volunteer and compete at the same event.
Check out RG... I'm not the only one that went this way as per the footprints in the snow.
Somehow I managed the fastest time to 9 (2:15) and 18 (1:39)... oh wait, that's only for my age class. Robert H. beat me to 18 and he's in the next older class.

5.52km on a 5.0 green - 110%
The temperature was not that much colder than last Sunday it the wind made it freezing. Very nice green course that I navigated fairly well.
I botched #9 - coming out of the woods by a ruin and getting on the road, I heated to the wrong building and parking. The lack of tracks in the snow near the pavilion made me stop before I went even further downhill.
#12 got me too. For some reason, after punching #11, I crossed the stream to the left and bashed through the woods all the way to the go control.
It was nice of Wyatt to have the muddiest control (#1) in the beginning so I had time to clean my shoes in the snow the rest of the course.

Heart rate this week and last was more consistent than previous outings. I attribute this to eliminating large orienteering mistakes where I had to stop and figure out where I was.
