Note

First event with both ankles supported. I think it saved me from a minor injury going to control 6.

Orienteering 1:00:35 [3] 6.27 km (9:40 / km) +170m 8:31 / km
shoes: VJ Integrator

4.9km - ran in 130% of course length.
no extra clue sheets but I tore it of the map this time. :) only one small problem... I didnt have my holder so I had to carry it in my hand. Heading to control 1 I relized if I dropped the clue sheet I be in big trouble. Some small errors 1-6 but looking at results I was bouncing around in the top 3... until 7 - a 9 or 10 minute error that I could not make back up. Distracted by others around a near by red control, I shifted north and up the hill coming to a thick green cliff then moved west to another green area just above ctrl 7, then mae a big loop up and around the top to reattack from the trail. (what bothered me on this was that there was no descriptors about the cliff or the control position at the cliff)
Another distraction with a bunch of O-kids near the end of 10 sent me into the first ruin which was thick and slow.
Looking at my watch I had almost 3 miutes to do the finish leg to stay under 1 hour but I just couldn't make the climb in the middle fast enough. I think 550m is the longest finish I've done.
Over all fairly happy with run, but even some legs that show good times were full of mental conflicts.
