Orienteering race 19:59 [5] 2.74 km (7:17 / km) +95m 6:13 / km

Set up race at Centennial Park! Good race, lots of climb. My goal was to chose good routes, and stick with the one I saw first, since it would most likely be the best one for me. For the most part I think I chose decent routes, but I could have eliminated lots of climb on some. Looking at video that Brent took I saw that I had some great flow on the close checkpoints (7-9) in the field. Lots of looking up, quick glances and early re-folding... All the good stuff :)

Orienteering race 22:24 [5] 3.52 km (6:21 / km) +48m 5:57 / km

Chase at the South Surrey Bike Park! Super fun race!! Focused mostly on running my own race and to keep calm, an essential when you're racing with tons of other people all over the place. Pretty clean race, just a little bobble on 2 when I missed a trail and on 17, actually in the same area. Overall I pushed the whole time and I think I chose good routes. Got ahead of the pack I was with when they all started trampling through the bushes and I took the trail right to the control (boo-yah)
Kept my standing among the woman so I'm very happy about that!

Dice-O! Ran with Ian Saari and I think we managed to go to every control twice before getting any new ones... Faile.
Still a great way to wrap up the weekend, along with a second place female overall! :D

Orienteering 36:18 [2]

Cypress Falls Training with Emma. We did the first loop which went really well. I was able to follow along on my map to her controls and then quickly take us to mine. The second loop went kinda downhill (literally) when Emma hurt her hamstring... We took her back and then I went out with Patrick Goeres to finish the second loop and do some relocation.

Orienteering race 33:35 [5] 4.05 km (8:17 / km) +104m 7:21 / km

SI race #2 at Grousewoods. Besides cutting up my legs real bad (I guess shorts weren't optimal leg attire) this race wasn't too bad. My goal was to focus on my speed and routechoices, which I think I did pretty well on. I really used the road sections to run hard and read ahead, and I think I chose good routes based on my personal abilities. Not my favourite race, but the woods around CP 4-7 were stunning with all the fog! (This also made it a little tricky to take a good bearing...)

Orienteering 20:00 [2] 2.7 km (7:24 / km)

Compass training at Greenwood Park! Remembered this place from 2 years ago, but only slightly. Goals were to re-fold my map before getting to the checkpoint and to already have what angle I needed to go figured out. I did this really well in the open park stuff. Had smooth flow and I was looking around in the terrain to where I was going. The woods stuff was a little less flowy but still good.

2 person relay at Deep Cove! Ran with Roan to continue Team Chocolate Cake. We beat Anvil and Hammer so bad, they didn't even bother showing up.

Orienteering race 19:59 [5] 3.66 km (5:28 / km) +40m 5:11 / km

Farsta at the PNE! This was such a fun race!! My goals were to focus on my own thing and to stay relaxed, which I totally did. The first two legs were super clean, and just a small conpass error on the third leg. Great end to the day!

Easy jog on the first training in Vancouver. Shaking out the airplane from my legs. Felt good, good reading ahead on this. I also totally missed the uncrossable imaginary line.... oops

First race of Sprint Camp! Felt really good. Overall small bobbles, but I really tried to open up on the long stretches.
