Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

1 PM

Orienteering race 19:22 [5] 3.14 km (6:10 / km) +45m 5:45 / km

Sprint Chase Set-Up

overall great race! Opened up on the longer legs, and planned ahead. Ran by some later controls on my way to the next one(11), and saw some controls (8) from a ways away.
Could have had less hesitation, which would be eliminated by choosing more obvious attackpoints
overall, was one of my better races!
3 PM

Orienteering race 20:51 [5] 3.62 km (5:46 / km) +42m 5:27 / km

Sprint Chase!
My faaavouurite race from the weekend!! Lots of variety in terrain, and I felt really good the whole race!
Not many real mistakes, just some more hesitation (gotta work on that!) around 9.
Reading ahead, and looking off to where the next control should be, to get some good flow in.

Another really awesome Sprint Camp weekend! :D

Running warm up/down 25:00 [2]

warmups and cool downs over the day
12 PM

Orienteering race 17:50 [5] 3.04 km (5:53 / km) +9m 5:47 / km

2nd Race at Mundy Park
overall awesome race!! Some pretty good route choices, and opened up in the places I was sure of where I was going.
Could have had less hesitation inside the control circle.
1 PM

Orienteering 20:16 [3] 3.25 km (6:14 / km) +8m 6:09 / km

Dogbones training

took this one easy, but definitely could have chosen a better route.
dogbones are always lots of fun!
4 PM

Orienteering race 13:13 [5] 2.25 km (5:52 / km) +5m 5:49 / km

Ran the second and fourth legs of the relay with Roan (who managed not to get frostbite this weekend) running the first and third! Very fun!
Made some small slip ups that probably costed us a bit of time. Reading ahead, but more focus was definitely needed in this race with all the people and controls
5 PM

Orienteering 34:37 [3] 4.29 km (8:04 / km) +56m 7:34 / km

O-tervals with Roan, Leif, and Michael
pretty slow pace, most of us were pretty sore and tired at this point...
Ran on map C, and was able to read along and plan ahead the whole time.
Would be really cool to run at race pace on this map! Pretty similar to last year's training at Capilano University, in the housing development part
as usual, o-tervals were my favourite training!
7 PM

Orienteering race 17:31 [5] 2.38 km (7:22 / km) +37m 6:50 / km

Farstfartstaa at Hume Park

Last 3 loops were pretty good, but never felt like I was running very fast.
The first loop was a little bit of a doosey, not even sure why I went down the hill and up the other side, when I could have just followed the trail... whoops...

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

warm ups and cool downs throughout the day
3 PM

Orienteering 13:50 [3] 2.3 km (6:00 / km) +16m 5:48 / km

First training of the Sprint Camp at Lost Lagoon
Easy run to loosen up the legs from the flight

nice to get into Vancouver 7 hours before we did last year!
7 PM

Orienteering race 17:07 [5] 3.35 km (5:06 / km) +17m 4:59 / km

First race at Coal Harbour

race didn't go super great... bad compass out of 5 causing some distractions from Hammer
rest of the race was quite good and lots of fun being able to open up without snow everywhere!
