Raced the men's 21E course from the 2013 nationals at Mac. A few walls up on the staircases and some more construction made it a lil slower. Read ahead really well and chose good routes.

Orienteering 12:35 [1] 1.93 km (6:32 / km)

Easy jog around the white course with a line-o in the middle. Took all the details in and stayed in good contact with the map. Map memory at the end.

Did 2 sets of 2 on 1 off at Princess Point. Was aiming for 4 but there were tons of people out there and it was hard to run fast and not knock anyone over. Instead I jogged easy up to the park and did a dang loop. Felt pretty sluggish. Too much turkey.

O-tervals with the ARX crew! Was able to read ahead on some legs and work on compass bearings... Until I lost my conpass somewhere between the second last loop and the finish. Still had lots of fun! O-tervals are a personal fav!

Got all the controls except two 20 point-ers which i'm very happy with! Great day for an awesome run!

Really excited and proud of receiving the Ted de St Croix (Athlete of the Year) award and joining the long list of incredible Dontgetlost athletes! A special thank you to Hans for the all the kind words about me. :) I'm extremely happy that all my training has paid off, and I am really looking forward to working harder with the HPP and with Hans as a coach. Bring on 2015!

Yesterday I got a letter and brochure from Humber College about my results at OFSAA and the invitation that I'd be welcome to run for their XC team. Pretty cool!

ARX butterfly loops! Did 3/4 loops.
Took me a while to get into the map but after I did I worked on my compass. Lots of fun in the dark!
