Orienteering 10:17 [3]

Morning sprint after lovely yoga stretch and warm up (Thanks, Rhonda!) Came in 2 seconds after Mary Jo, who ran this course as her second sprint course, while it was my first course. Felt I ran pretty hard. Needed to rest quite a while before starting my second. Only orienteering can make me sprint anymore... Well, that or a bus/train that I am about to miss.

Orienteering 11:30 [3]

I don't remember the exact time, but it was over 11. I think PG posted the results somewhere. I got totally confused leaving the start... and then chose to bushwhack just 5 feet from a trail that I didn't notice... and so by the second control, Rick had caught up with me, which pushed me to start sprinting hard again... and while he didn't over take me on the course, he did finish faster. Sprinting is fun!

Yummy fritatas for breakfast, plus banana bread plus bagels plus some glorified smoothie. Wasn't hungry again till dinner time. Happy First Night Hannukah!

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3]

I can't remember how long we took on the RHINO night course, but we were last and had a blast. Daisy and myself... with one and a half headlamps. Our favorite control was the one on the tree (#11 on the long course) in the clearing. The sky was full of stars and the night was silent (everyone else having already returned to the house long ago). We turned off our lamps and soaked in the atmosphere. Beautiful.
