orienteering race (Raid the Hammer) 3:04:00 [4] 29.0 km (6:21 / km)
Lindsay's first raid and tons of fun out there. I went into the pain cave at about 18 km and that's when I politely asked Linds to take my vest pack. With her huge xc skiing lungs she ran the course like a boss, always smiling and often yelling "this is SO fun". This was my first raid where my team didnt even blink at the aid table...isn't that the best part of a raid race...BBQ ringalos and m&ms?
Not sure why I thought I could handle riding the rail trail in the dark because upon seeing a pair of green beady eyes from a giant buck, I crapped my pants and rode home via 26. Poor life decisions.
