Ride to Floyd to meet the girls for Trick-or-Treating. Drove to Snuffy's to get a bit of a headstart. Felt pretty good on the ride. Beautiful weather but a little bit of wind.

Hour Loop (plus new trails) w/Zitch/Skip Started out sunny but then turned back to dark/windy fall (just as nice). Legs felt strong despite feeling very tired and sore on Sat from Fridays run.
Ran up and down the freshly cleared trails. Need to do a bit of cleaning at the top of one trail. GPS had trouble probably because its a pretty sharp but small ravine.
Trail work with Dad. Added about 1 mile of trail. Cleared some overgrown and tree covered sections. One really nice section. We were out longer than expected and were pretty worn out at the end probably primarily due to the lack of food/lunch.

Old Farm Reverse Classic Loop. 40F at the start. Didn't feel like I was pushing the pace. Actually felt throttled at times (mostly downhills) but the pace was strong.
The Mazamas were nice. Light and agile. Not a ton of grip needed. For the right use I think I will like them a lot.

Everything The gym was a bit emptier than mid-afternoon.
Ride back to CBurg via Den Hill to pick up the car. Light pack. Much warmer than the morning ride. 60F Had considered a longer route but didn't have any more time.

Wild Gear Chase Cool weather. Similar course to last year but there were a few low water bridges closed from all the rain. I started with Ronny, Mark L, and Teresa. Ronny guided us out to the first point on the mountain. I then joined with (led) another local for the rest of the trail section. He didn't follow me for the entire shwack off the mountain. He recaught me 2 miles before the finish. I had backtracked based off of information about a closed bridge (which I told him about when I saw him). He was able to run it anyway. He then saved me from trying to take another major road closure for construction. If he hadn't saved me he would have won. Pretty good sportsmanship there. I finished less than a minute ahead of him.
Won a Tepui Tents Baja Series Ultralite Kukenam 3 tent. MSRP $1200+. Need to find the best way to resell.
Definitely felt stronger than last year. My pace through DT was faster despite having a bit more trouble navigating. My kick was also stronger. I didn't feel as gassed either :-)
The maps were horrible. It was hard to read much on the road map and the trail map didn't have any terrain. The road map was the only one plotted and the point markers were big enough to make seeing what was behind them difficult. Mark brought his own maps and I should have done the same. I ended up using my phone for A LOT of the race. Never want to do that again!

Homeplace w/Zitch/Skip Wanted to take the day off but couldn't resist the fall weather. Took the pace as easy as possible even walking the top of the big climb. Dogs took off a couple times.
CBurg Commute via Seneca Hollow. Heavy pack. Humid. Decent climb up Seneca. Rode alongside a train up the valley and then caught it and waited for it at the bottom of Ellet.

Kelly's Knob w/Zitch/Skip/Dan Fairly easy paced run. Dan is not in shape and I wasn't looking to add a hard workout. I double-backed at the top to meet Dan.
Explored some potential climbing routes at the top.
Skip was limping a bit later at night. Think it was just a bit sore as it went away quickly. The weather probably isn't helping either.
Morning ride to Sandy Ridge. No motorcycle crashes this time. Pretty cool most of the ride. Foggy at the start. Legs a little tired. Didn't push too much.

Pandapas w/Zitch/Skip Stayed cloudy and fairly cool so we did a bigger run than usual. Apparently had some decent efforts according to Strava.
Got a bad side stitch at the pond and had to slow up for a bit to let it settle.
Ran the new section of Joe Pye finally. Not quite finished and didn't quite nail the entrance to the trail but pretty close. It's nice and adds about .5 miles.
