Spent 8+ hours in the car driving to and from NOVA for a meeting today. Felt actual pain in my left leg. Mostly in my calf.

My annual Rocky Knob Turkey Trot w/Zitch/Skip. Skip's first time at Rocky Knob. Warm weather (50's) compared to the 5" of snow last year. I was a bit slower than I would have liked. Started bonking on the climb out of the gorge. All but the last segment split were right at 25 min. Pulled out the Speedcross's for maybe their last run.

The trail was marked as closed due to the flooding Floyd got just before Hurricane Joaquin. No reason to close the trail in these conditions. Wasn't any worse than the trails in and out of the gorge except maybe after a rain. A warning sign to be careful would have been best. I saw a few others hiking the trail.

Intermediate Course at BROC Heritage meet w/Zitch/Skip. Inserted a climb up Old Farm at CP 12. 31:23 was my actual course time. Good turn out given it is Thanksgiving break already and the high was 40 with a good bit of wind.

Misread the map for CP 1 and dropped down to the lower trail. Made a few aggressive choices to shwack instead of go around. Most of them were probably washes.

MRA, which is an MRI of your blood vessels. This was in order to determine if circulation issues are causing the tightness in my left leg. First MRI, not bad except the table made my butt really sore about halfway through.

Family hike/run at Angels Rest. Steep climb meant a tough climb the standard 40lb pack. Was out of breath just walking. Run down was pretty smooth. Nice and sunny at the top meant we could relax and enjoy the view and some snacks as well as some fresh spring water.

Was surprised to see some thru-hikers this late in the season but they plan to finish by Christmas.

First true MTB ride in months. Rode w/Zitch/Skip. First time riding from the house to Pandapas. Homeplace trails were a bit "leafy" but mostly rideable. Had to stop a few times up and down turtle but not too bad. Just a simple out and back.

Good exercise for the dogs. Confirms they are ready for next weeks Turkey Trot.

Run at Turkey Run. Had trouble getting here due to misremembering traffic patterns which meant less time for running. Only had so much time before dark. Came up with a nice loop which was a bit shorter than expected and worked out well. Finished right after civil twilight. Enjoyed the trails.

Dragon's Tooth family hike. Not as fast as last week. Walked the bottom AT section for the first time. It was MUCH rockier than the approach trail. Had to go around a rocky section cause the dogs were being wimpy. Then when we got to the top they practically ran off the edge. Windy and cold at the top. Ran down the approach trail.
