Hiking 14:00 [0] 0.62 mi (22:35 / mi) +87ft 19:56 / mi

After the dog park we checked out some trails I have been curious about. I've noticed them as I ride by on the WOD but never expected much from them. Figured this was a good chance to take a gander without wasting a run.

Turned out there were more trails then I expected. Not worth making my way there just for them but if I am in the area I definitely will run around on them. Could maybe fill up a mile. Didn't walk all the trail but enough to get a feel. When we were done we walked back to the car.

Trail Running 3:00:13 [2] **** 19.51 mi (9:14 / mi) +2542ft 8:13 / mi

Split the run into 2 sections for mapping purposes. Trying to map out trails for my DIET with minimal overlap and without mapping any roads.

Long Slow Distance today. Low 40's. Took an easy pace and didn't push any hills early on. Felt good throughout the run. Legs were beat when I finished though. Ran out of energy at about 2.5 hours (didn't bring food) which made the end rough especially the last mile before Chain Bridge. Hadn't plan to run for quite so long but it was nice to be out for longer and map all the trails that I did. Slammed a stinger waffle and stinger chews when I got home.

Scotts felt good. Much more comfortable then the Inov8's but not nearly as much traction or as fast. The Inov8's also feel more "natural".
