At Cala Garibaldi. Took the outboard ashore (waded in), then went for a jog up the coast through the wilderness before heading cross country inland and finding a path/ road back. Lots of lizards, calves still very stiff

Not the best preparation. Feeling worse for where and generally very tired at the start. Showed in the first few controls where i reckon I made 4 20-30s mistakes in thr first 6.

Settled down from then (aftet Ralph caming zooming past me at #8). Didn't make too many errors (although #25 could have been slightly better), but my calves were like rock from #9 onwards and i struggled with any kind of actual pace.

Given the circumstances I'm reasonably ok with the end result. Shame i didnt have the ability to push at all. There are probably 5mins I could find out there across pace and errors

ITW - started with a jumper, but it was a little warm. Still had energy to bound up the stairs at St Paul's

HFW - Stopped at Waitrose, so the bag was a little heavy. Nice evening

Along the canal and through Loughborough town centre. Legs were a little sore and stiff still at the off, so stopped early for a stretch, but eased up by the end and felt refreshed
