JK Relay
Ended up put out in 3rd, right up there with the other girls on last leg which was what I hadn't wanted as I knew I couldn't go all out when I was still ill. But if there's ever going to be a time when I can push myself it's a relay so did what I could! Definitely took a really bad route to 2 and lost maybe 30s, was struggling to read the map and just made a bad decision! The rest of it was ok. Unexpectedly saw Jess after 4 and she didn't catch me again until 18. Tess passed me at 10, and Meg at 16. I think on a good day I'd have been able to hold off Meg and Jess for 3rd as we were less then 1min behind them. Still, a good performance from the team and hopefully more chances to come.

JK Long
Rolled (pretty much) straight out of bed for this one as we were staying in the assembly. Maybe not the best start and I did mess up no 1 slightly, wasn't reading the map properly. The rest of it was fine, I (again) had no energy and it was a bit depressing to see people I would normally be able to run with just steam past me on the tracks. I ended up getting a bit cold because I wasn't moving fast enough and it was raining. But survived another JK Long and maybe one year I'll actually race it!

Orienteering 43:11 [3] 5.26 km (8:13 / km) +100m 7:30 / km
ahr:162 max:179 shoes: Pink MM

JK Middle
Had Saz starting 2mins behind me and it was a little depressing when she caught me up on the way to 5. Again just had no go and really struggling on the hills. Didn't make a proper plan for 15 and got distracted by Alice (starting 4mins behind), ended up too high. Probably should have gone the other way to 16 as well (L rather than R) as you would have had to climb less. Again, enjoyed it but sad not to be able to move a bit faster.

Jogging about, feeling pretty rubbish.

Orienteering 18:58 [3] 3.73 km (5:05 / km)
ahr:166 max:182 (sick) shoes: Orange GT2000

JK Sprint - MOD Stafford
Major struggle, couldn't push at all and very aware I had to get through 4 days of "racing". Wasn't a very tricky area and I wasn't able to run very fast at all. Slight hesitations on 16 and 23 as they felt very wrong... Enjoyed it still, but frustrating to be ill.

Running 10:59 [1] 1.52 km (7:14 / km)
ahr:129 max:143 shoes: Orange GT2000

Round the car park with Phil and Ali.
