Scottish Relay - Leg 1
Don't have my map so can't quite remember what I did. Overall I didn't really enjoy it, my legs are so sore from yesterday, R hip was painful every step, the woods were manky and I was super slow. Luckily I have fab teammates who pulled us up to 3rd :) Should have stuck with the pack more (though they probs would have dropped me anyway...) and gone straight to 6 and 8. Got stuck in rhododendrons and then ran the rest myself. Almost ran the wrong way from 10 but caught myself in time, probably set off a bit too fast!

Scottish Champs - Gullane and Archerfield.
Good, I think. Again I enjoyed it and the distance doesn't feel as hard as it once did. Think I was going as fast as I could at the moment, started to die a little at the hour but then Ali T came past and I chased him for the 1 control I could still see him for! Then wanted to get under 90mins so pushed on to the finish. Couple of mistakes in there: Hesitant to 2, but of a banana to 5 as I thought the tree would be more obvious, then lost some time at 7 not being careful enough with direction. More direction issues out of 9 and was a bit wiggly to the beach. Now realise that 10 was in the wrong place but I saw it out the corner of my eye as I was running past and realised it was my code so just punched and carried on. Then again bad direction out of 14 and getting confused by the trees I couldn't see were on the map. Bit faffy in the circle at 23. V low in confidence at 30, v obvious trees not on the map and I couldn't see the ticks on a depression because of the line. Much more focused in the last few to get under the 90mins. Not really sure how much time lost in total, will have a look at the splits when they're up!

Enjoyed it. Deffo took the wrong route from 2-3, I saw you could cross the fence and go through the trees so I did, it was slower! Otherwise I think it was ok apart from the gate through the hedge at the end, but everyone had that problem! Thought I was better from the cold but lungs still struggling a bit.

Travelled through to Glasgow last night and then full day in Largs today. Deffo should have taken running stuff :'( it was such a gorgey day but I had decided not to run because I'll be running Fri, Sat , Sun. Went for a lil walk before driving home again.

Feeling a bit better once session done but it was so hot and I was coughing so much!
