Note

Ray was off reccying and I was entertaining the kids at Seathwaite campsite on a scorching day. Seathwaite campsite takes ‘basic’ to a whole new level, but the views are amazing, it is nice and quiet, and there are the most excellent rock pools in the nearby rivers to swim in, which we spent a lot of the day doing. I managed to cajole them up Green Gable, which took a lot of bribery.

The only window of possible running. Morning after an hbt beer and sausage night at ours. Minimal sleep, legs v sore but got it done. Gorgeous morning. Wore my road only (ON) shoes to prevent me from getting carried away and dragging my aching legs up the crags.

Scottish 5k champs. New V40 PB for me. Pretty pleased. Splits less even, but fun, and good conditions.

Along the canal, up past the Craiglockhart campus, to the top of West Craiglockhart and back via Morningside to work. Stressed. Tired. Way to much on just now, both work and home.

Out and about doing some errands.

Treadmill. First mile at 15% then flat. Got a blister so stopped a bit early. Frustrating as you get to watch tv when on a treadmill, and it was something called eggheads. A team of unbearably smug patronising gits try to out-brainbox some normalish people. I didn’t see the end so I didn’t see if the normal people won, but if they didn’t I hope they waited outside the studio and gave the other team a good kicking for being such knobs.

Note

Get out of sick kids finally mid afternoon. No sleep last night at all. Lucy is high on steroids, while I am totally on my knees with tiredness. Get home, sit her infront of the telly, and go to bed. I was quite motivated for running today, but motivation has its limits.
