I was going to go orienteering to the ESOC event at Castlelaw, but couldn't face more Pentlands mud, so I dragged myself around a road run instead. Weary.

12 miles of Pentlands mountain biking with Mum for her birthday. It was fun, but I made the mistake of taking her over from glencourse to bonaly and Glencourse to the bonaly reservoir was just horrific mud. She has better bike handling skills than me and more guts. I (thankfully) had a better bike - one of Fran’s cast offs. I am not a mountain biking fan.
Was going to go further afield but was put off by the dire weather. I felt good until I got to Capelaw, where my legs gave up a bit. This might have been something to do with the 4 x 1k Hill reps last night followed by the traditional BB dinner of pints and mini cheddars... My fave Pentlands path (the one around Castlelaw) was 10/10 for mud today. Mmmm. Nice.
Trottettes wine tasting. Some (me and one other) decided we ought to run before drinking. So from Megan’s to Blackford hill braids and back through the fields. The other girl I was running with was newish, and could really shift, so this wasn’t the usual chatty pace! Muddy.
Work to home (to meet a gardener who can hopefully do the garden. We are far too lazy) then over the crags, down, then up radical road and back to work. Cold wind and very misty on the top.
