Note
(rest day)

Oh dear, I think the kids have made me ill. They have colds - sneeze-tastic all yesterday and today. I'll reserve judgement until tomorrow though.

We got the sleeper to London last night, so practically no sleep had by anyone as the kids were so excited. Then we got the train to Cornwall from paddington. The train was rammed. Every carriage apart from one was fully reserved, and the unreserved one was chock full too. First stop Exeter, so it was a long way in cramped conditions. Luckily we had reserved seats. Unluckily we had reserved them next to a 5 year old called Lawrence and his mum and sister. Lawrence's mum spent the first half of the journey feeding him boiled eggs. Leading to lots of "my god who farted?" accusations before we realised. Then Lawrence vomited the boiled eggs everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Jeez! Hit the window big time, all over his mum and sister, dripping off the seats, and we were one row back trying not to gag. So horrific. Two hours later we finally managed to extract ourselves at Liskeard, with the stench of vomit ingrained in our hair, clothes and the back of our throats. So I am feeling queasy now, but maybe it was just sitting next to so much vomit for two hours.

P.s. Still managed a Cornish pasty with Cornish ice cream chaser in Looe though.
P.p.s. After he had vomited Lawrence's mum announced that she just had to go and wash the sick off her hands then he could have some lunch!
P.p.p.s. And then he unsurprisingly vomited the lunch.
P.p.p.p.s. I'd have felt sorry for the mum (and indeed I gave her all the wet wipes I had in the hope she's get rid of the vomit smell) but if she can't even spell Laurence correctly...
P.p.p.p.p.s. I fed my kids the much less healthy-for-them / smug-for-mummy creme eggs, and my kids kept them down nicely. Chocolate. Nice and easy on the stomach.

Cross training 30:00 [3]

I have been struggling this last week. I was totally exhausted on Saturday but had get up early for football, and then rush home and go for a hill walk (nice, when your back is killing, and two moany kids are dragging on for arms) and then rush home and out to some friends, and then rush home and go out for dinner, then Sunday morning and I had to get up at the crack of dawn to take Laurence to swimming cause ray was too ill (you don't think it could have been the copious amount of beer you drank???). Yup, happy mother's day, got Lozza too the pool for 8 on the day the clocks go back, then sat in the stands slowly dying of exhaustion. So I spent the rest of mother's day in bed, with the duvet pulled over my head trying desperately to pull myself together. But it seemed to have worked, as i managed to go swimming at lunchtime today. the lifeguard told me the pool (Dalry) is 22.8m long. My 22.8 times table was ticking over as I swam, and I did 44 lengths, which is just over 1k. All front crawl.

Physic tomorrow.
