Off-road running 1:20:00 [3] 8.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Early morning pentlands jaunt with Graeme. It has been months since I ran with company and it was lovely. Hilly, and v rough in places, and this was my first off-road since the JOK weekend. I was pleased that my calf seemed to cope. Got a bit tight by the end, but ok.

I haven't been running much recently, as I have been ill, busy and stressed. Hoping for a better week this week.

Felt better this morning. Panic as I can't find my bike, then remember that I left it on the campervan, all night, unlocked. Still there, not nicked. Phew!

Intervals - short and speedy 30:00 [3] 4.0 mi (7:30 / mi)

10 x 1min on 30 secs off. Killer. First time I have done anything like this for years, and my whole body was in pain. It surprises me how much all over body strength running like this takes. I did 1 x 1min at the end all out. My body seemed stiff, and lacking full movement in my left hip, and I seem to have pulled something in my right hip.

Run incorporating 6 x 2min fast, 2min slow. Felt really good.

Felt shocking. So tired.

Then to fife to get Lucy. Tired.

Then from Waverley to judo and back up the hill home, with Lucy so it doesn't count. So so tired. Bed early. I have got to stop doing so much cycling. My hip/SI is really not happy with it. Both ankle joints seem to be persistently locking up these days too. Pass the Zimmer frame!
