Bethecar moor. Short Brown.
Just as tentative as yesterday as my calf was v sore from yesterday, and the tussocks were a nightmare for it. Lots of sudden jerking. I had to walk the last bit. The nav was a bit easier today, so my others did better in comparison as I had another clean run but more of the other competitors did too.
Really enjoyed it though. I had first start so had the course to myself, and the weather added an extra bit of fun that helped make up for the lack of speed.
So I got to the finish, and hot-footed it back to the van, grab some clothes, get the kids in their o kit, find dibbers and compasses for them, and head off to the white, rapidly getting cold. Lucy and I start first, Laurence 2mins later. I have a quick glance at the map, we set off up the road. Only for the start chappie to call me back to say he is sure we are going the wrong way, and maybe we should check the map again. I do, and realise I have made a 180 degree error and we sheepishly backtrack through the start, much to Laurence's amusement. Big mistake, white course! How embarassing!
