Orienteering - race 55:00 [5] 6.0 mi (9:10 / mi)

Trains-type session. Planning your own legs but running gaffled head to head. Feeling good to great physically, really buzzing at times, but have to learn to calm down and plan properly before burning off, and slowing down before the controls. Need to work on core stability to improve in terrain. Great to feel my old self again in the terrain. After barry buddon i thought i was doomed to being a joe jogger forever more. Planning 1.806 execution 1.917

Run back from oing to the base for the weekend. Great run, great views great company. Really good weekend. I now know i feel i know what i nead to focus on to ensure my results move up a level next year. Planning my routes. Strength, flexibility and agility. Staying injury free. Great to get to the pub and gget really chatting to the younger squad members. Good to get to the pub anyway infact... Last drinking until after woc.

Was rather obliged to take trotter training as ray is ill with an ommm bug. Took trottwrs on tour for 6 x 3 mins in the braids farm road direction. Followed by wee bennets. brilliant. Could have done without intwrvals tonight as i have tired legs . foam rollering to questuon time now, so can't be so drunk..

Felt good after day off yesterday and acupuncture last night. Sleep levels getting worse though.

Planned to do intervals, but am really suffering from lack of sleep. I know from experience that the only way to survive on little sleep is to simplify life as much as possible. No trotettes this week, as little evening running as i can get away with. 12 mile training in a day is still ticking over nicely.

Note

Rest day. Thought it would do me good as i had physio, early to s&c chap in the morning, letting the damp contractors in the house, measuring up for a new kitchen, weekly shop, full day at work, dropping off and picking up kids, doing dinner and putting them to bed.
