Sprained my ankle on the way to control 1 on Sunday Green-Y course at West Point A meet. I was running in the wide open area on top of first hill and stepped in a hole. I could tell it was bad but had to keep moving to make sure it stayed loose. I actually ran fairly well on it and had the top final leg sprint time for the course although my total time was really bad. It's all black and blue along the bottom edge under the ankle and swelled up. I will not be able to run for several days.
This was really bad ankle sprain. The pain was above and below the outside ankle. It still feels a little sore. I probably rested it too much. Maybe could have had quicker recovery if I would of started cycling more quickly.
