Grade: 2

Still dealing with ongoing pain in the ball of my right foot. Although Acupuncture, icing and topical anti-inflammatory gel offer short term relief the pain continues to return. The best the podiatrist can offer is that it's either some deep bruising or the start of a neuroma. The problem is further complicated by some arthritis in the joint of my big toe on the same foot.

March 2
Saw Dr Gateley. He believes the arthritis in the right big tou is causing too much pressure to be placed on the #2 toe which is causing a lot of inflammation. He modified a pair of orthodics to help force my foot to roll towards the big toe which would be the natural motion.

Did you know?...The big toe is built to carry 40% of the load during the "toe-off" phase.
