L Knee, Other

2009-01-08 – ?

Grade: 2

Feeling pain around knee when running (in the back); I believe it's a calf strain at the upper end. The PT noticed that I have weakness on my left side in my abductor muscles. Didn't run Jan 9-12, felt pain immediately again on the 13th. Started physical therapy on January 21. Only running seems to aggravate this issue.

Physical therapy stretches/exercises:
1) Lateral leg raises (while lying down)
2) Clamshells (lying down)
3) Two hamstring/glute stretches while lying down
4) Two calf stretches (wall stretch and stair stretch)
5) Two standing-up hamstring stretches
6) Monster walks

The stretches and exercises take ~30 minutes to complete.

I believe that the PT on Jan 29 really bothered my upper calf. It was bruised for ~4 days afterwards.
