R Hip/Pelvis, Sciatica

2007-08-17 – 2008-06-30

Grade: 3

Finally have been given the correct diagnosis of sciatica, the cause of all my problems! My piriformis is compressing my sciatic nerve, causing pain through the lateral portion of my hamstring and through my patella tendon. Also causing muscle weakness and numbness through the hamstrings and gastrocnemius, which has made controlling the right leg very hard!

Really important to keep up regular strecthing in my particular case where my piriformis muscle was the culprit compressing my sciatic nerve. Consistant stretching helps lengthen the muscle and release the tension on the nerve and allow normal nerve function.
