Right 4th toe - painful. Although this has been persistent for about 6 months, finally went to podiatrist. Right foot is size 12, left foot size 11. Toe bone pressure causing callus and nerve pain. Can be surgically corrected, but trying larger shoes for now - Size 12 wide Saucony (used) to see if that reduces the pain.
Calling the 'recovered' - still adjusting to new shoes (and awaiting others), but toe not as painful as it was, just a persistent soreness, but gradually improving so will hope it continues on that trajectory.
