R Foot, Other

2020-04-18 – 2020-08-30

Grade: 2

Peroneal tendonitis. Felt like a sprained ankle (pain on the outside just below the knuckle), but I couldn't remember having done so. Probably the tendon got irritated by walking a lot sideways on slopy ice/snowfields. No running. Pools are closed. Biking and elliptical work.
Bought a wet suit and did aqua jogging outside a lot. During the summer I found a place in the leg (upper end of the muscle) that was tense --> after some weeks of intense massage by Jan the foot got better and I could start to hike and jogg, just in time for the summer holidays :)
Got some pain in December after some hikes in deep snow, but went away after some days with massage.

Never really identified the cause. Physio didn't believe it came from the sore muscle. In the future, be careful with hikes/runs on snow. Check the leg (and everything else) regularly.
