Lateral meniscus strain. Felt it when stopping suddenly at traffic lights towards the end of a training run around Mosman but didn't think much of it at the time. Weird sensation - felt weak/unstable. Aggravated it during long runs in July/Aug, with quite severe pain/limp. Unable to do any high intensity running or squash training for 3 months.
Cause - tight quads, wear & tear.
Recovery - rest, swimming, foam rolling quads, fish oil, msm.
