Sick, Cold

2016-12-13 – 2016-12-21

Grade: 3

All of a sudden, late Tuesday night, my nose started running uncontrollably. For me, colds virtually always start with a sore throat, so I was hoping this would be just a low-grade infection. Wasn't too bad on Wednesday, and I more or less went about my business, but had no energy for running. By Wednesday night, the congestion was really bad and I had a bad sinus headache. Thursday was pretty miserable, though right before bed the sinus headache suddenly went away. I expected to be a good deal better on Fri, but I was only a little better, and Fri I hardly got any sleep.

Third cold in less than 5 months, when for years I've been going without hardly ever getting a cold. I can ascribe this one to having worn myself out organizing Sprint SF and then being exposed to Louise's cold over the weekend. But I shouldn't be getting myself into states where I'm catching colds so often.

Was well enough on Tues 12/20 to go Xmas shopping and go to work, but had a pounding headache afterwards. Wednesday I could feel the cold leaving me almost by the minute. By the following Sat, back to full strength, but nose still pretty runny at times.
